Silk Plaster East brings the warmth of sunlit interiors into your home with a palette of six characterful shades inspired by oriental craftsmanship. From soft sand tones to deeper amber and terracotta accents, the East collection lets homeowners build a feature wall, a calm bedroom, or a welcoming hallway that feels lived-in without ever looking dated.
What makes East different from paint or paper is the texture itself. Applied with a plastic trowel as a soft, paste-like coating, Silk Plaster East dries into a continuous, seamless surface — no joints, no visible cuts, no edges peeling over time. The fibres knit together across corners, around sockets, and over uneven plaster, which means even an inexperienced applicator can finish a room and leave it looking professionally done.
East is built around the eco-friendly formulation used across the Silk Plaster main collection. Cellulose and silk fibres, a water-soluble adhesive, and finely milled decorative components combine into a coating that meets the strictest indoor air standards. The product is VOC A+ rated, contains no harsh solvents, and is safe to apply in bedrooms, nurseries, and living areas without lingering odour.
A practical advantage many homeowners discover only after the fact: East is fully repairable. If a corner gets knocked, a child draws on the wall, or a small patch is damaged by moisture, you simply soak the affected area with water, scrape off the damaged section, and re-apply leftover material from the original pack. The repair blends back in invisibly — something neither paint nor wallpaper can offer.
Application is intentionally simple. A 1.1 kg pack covers approximately 5 m² depending on thickness, mixes with warm water, and rests for around 12 hours before going onto the wall. The dried coating settles at around 0.8 mm thick — enough to mask minor wall imperfections without losing the refined matt finish East is built around. From there, smooth diagonal strokes with the trowel are all it takes. No wallpaper paste, no cutting, no joints to align — just a clean wall, water, and the East pack itself. Most homeowners finish a feature wall in an afternoon.
East works particularly well in spaces where you want depth and warmth without busy patterns. The six available shades — 956, 957, 959, 960, 961, and 962 — can be used as single tones across the whole wall or combined with another Silk Plaster collection to create accent panels, niches, and ceiling details. Because each batch is mixed by hand, two walls of the same shade will share the same character but never read as flat or printed.
Like every Silk Plaster product, East ships pan-EU from our Riga warehouse with full technical data sheets and application guides. Pair it with our SP Primer for the most consistent base on plasterboard or skimmed surfaces, and an Expert Trowel for cleaner edges around windows and doors. Whether you are refreshing a single room or specifying a complete renovation, Silk Plaster East gives you a seamless, repairable, lasting finish that will quietly outclass conventional wall coverings for years.
