The Silk Plaster Microcement Complete Kit is a professional-grade, all-in-one system for creating seamless, continuous cement-look surfaces on floors, walls, and ceilings. Covering up to 25 m², this kit contains every component you need — from primer to protective topcoat — to achieve a durable, waterproof mineral finish with a thickness of just 2–3 mm, without demolition or heavy construction work.
Silk Plaster Microcement is a water-borne system formulated with high-quality raw materials and finished with aliphatic polyurethane varnish — the highest grade of PU protection available. The result is a surface that is UV-stable, scratch-resistant, and suitable for wet areas including bathrooms and kitchens.

Application Guide — How to Apply Microcement
- Surface preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, level, and structurally sound. Apply transparent thick 150g /m2 fiberglass mesh on tiled or jointed surfaces to prevent crack transfer. Fill the joints with Ardex A46 or F5 or similar products. In case of tiles, use our Silk Plaster Oteks primer for tiles.
- Prime with Base Q: Apply the quartz sand primer to create a bonding surface for the microcement layers.
- First coat — Microcemento Base: Apply the base coat with the included stainless steel trowel. This structural layer builds the foundation. Allow to dry. Sand it with P40-P80 sanding discs.
- Finish coats — Microcemento Finish: Apply 2 coats of the finish material for a smooth, decorative surface. Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper of P180-P320 for the best result.
- Seal with PU 2K Varnish TOP 890: Mix A+B components for 3 minutes (do not use a mixer). Apply 2–3 thin layers of topcoat. For bathrooms, apply 2-3 layers for extra waterproofing. Sand lightly between varnish layers.
Open time after mixing the 2K varnish is approximately 2 hours depending on temperature. Water can be used in 10 days. Full cure takes 21 days — avoid heavy traffic during this period.

Suitable Substrates
Microcement adheres to most rigid, stable surfaces including: ceramic tiles, terrazzo, marble, concrete, cement render, self-levelling screed, plasterboard (drywall), and MDF. It is not recommended for wooden parquet floors (insufficient rigidity), plastics, or bare metal surfaces. Always apply fiberglass mesh over jointed substrates to prevent pattern transfer.
