What is Seta8 silk effect paint
Seta8 is a decorative silk effect paint — a fine top-coat finish that gives interior walls the soft, “wet silk” sheen of luxury fabric. Light moves across the surface to reveal velvety, shifting shades and a gentle metallic shimmer, so a single wall reads differently through the day. With Seta8 you can create both the classic “washed-out” silk look and the deeper Firenze (Florentine) silk effect of compressed fine fabric — the rich wet-silk look often described as an ottocento finish. It suits feature walls, living rooms, bedrooms, hotels, restaurants and offices, and can also be used on furniture and stucco details.
How to apply Seta8
Work over a wall primed with Silk Plaster BaseT undercoat. Mix on low speed, let it stand 10–15 minutes and do not dilute. Apply a thin, even first layer with a stainless-steel Venetian trowel; once dry, apply a second, slightly thicker layer, always working the wet edge to avoid joins and shaping the pattern with free trowel passes. Coverage is about 6–8 m²/l in two coats. Keep out of direct sunlight during application and protect the finish from moisture for three days. Seta8 is ready to use and tintable to a wide palette.
