Marmorino Carrara is a mineral-based coating composed of hydrated lime putty blended with selected Carrara marble aggregates and rheological modifiers. Application Guide — How to Apply Marmorino Carrara
- Surface preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and primed with a suitable mineral primer. Check our undercoat quartz BaseQ primer.
- First coat: Apply a thin, even base layer using a stainless steel trowel. Allow to dry for 6–12 hours.
- Second coat: Apply the finish coat, working in smooth, overlapping strokes to build up the characteristic marble depth and veining.
- Burnishing (optional): Once dry, polish the surface with a clean trowel or burnishing tool to achieve a high-gloss marble finish.
- Protection (optional): For wet areas such as bathrooms, apply a natural wax (e.g., beeswax) or a dedicated wall protector to enhance water resistance.
