Silk Plaster Versailles 2 is the most expansive collection in the Silk Plaster luxury range. Built around twenty richly textured shades (the 1101–1110 and 1121–1130 colour series), Versailles 2 weaves fine metallic threads through a silk-and-cellulose base to create a wall finish that genuinely lives somewhere between decorative plaster and couture textile.
Where Versailles 1 leans on gold and silver leaf for its shimmer, Versailles 2 uses longer metallic filaments distributed evenly through the mix. The effect is a wall that reads as deeply textured at room distance and almost fabric-like up close — the kind of surface that quietly justifies a luxury price point. In master bedrooms, dining rooms, statement hallways, and boutique-hotel-style projects, Versailles 2 turns the wall itself into the centrepiece of the room.
Like every Silk Plaster product, Versailles 2 is applied as a continuous, seamless coating. You mix one pack with warm water, let it rest, and spread the material across the wall with a plastic trowel. There are no joints, no cut lines, no overlap edges to catch the light differently. The metallic threads and decorative fibres knit smoothly over corners and around sockets so the finished surface reads as a single, refined piece — there is no need for trim, no need to align patterns, and no risk of a visible repeat across the wall.
Versailles 2 is also fully repairable, which is unusual at this price point. If a section is later knocked, scuffed, or marked by moisture, you simply soften the affected area with water, lift the damaged material, and re-apply leftover Versailles 2 from the same pack. The patch blends back into the shimmer and threadwork invisibly. For homes where the luxury collection sits in a high-use space — an entrance hallway, a dining room, the wall behind a sofa — this repairability is a meaningful guarantee of long-term value.
Application sits at the more deliberate end of the Silk Plaster range. A 1.58 kg pack covers approximately 3 m² depending on thickness, mixes with warm water, rests for around 12 hours, and goes onto the wall with the same plastic trowel used across the main collection. The dried layer settles at around 1.2 mm thick — generous enough to carry the long metallic threads that give the collection its couture-like depth. We recommend slower, more even strokes than for the lighter main-collection products, simply because the metallic threads reward a calmer trowel rhythm. There is no specialist primer or tooling required, and no specialist contractor — homeowners who are comfortable with main-collection application can finish a Versailles 2 wall themselves over a weekend.
The Versailles 2 composition is built for indoor living. The coating is VOC A+ rated, contains no harsh solvents, and emits no lingering odour during or after application. It is breathable, deeply textured, and exceptionally forgiving on imperfect substrates — small bumps, hairline cracks, and uneven plaster that would show through flat paint are absorbed into the texture and threadwork.
Silk Plaster Versailles 2 ships pan-EU from our Riga warehouse with full technical data sheets and a luxury-collection application guide. Pair it with the SP Primer Silk Plaster on porous substrates for the most even thread distribution, and the Expert Trowel for cleaner edges around architraves and ceilings. For a wall that reads as designer textile, holds up to family life, and stays repairable for years, Silk Plaster Versailles 2 is one of the most distinctive luxury finishes on the European market.
