What it is
The SP Venetian Trowel INOX “Black Mamba” is a professional Italian Venetian trowel made by CO.ME, master toolmakers near Venice since 1964. Its 280 × 100/120 mm trapezoidal stainless-steel blade is just 0.6 mm thick, giving the precise flex needed to lay and burnish decorative plaster without chatter. Rounded corners stop the blade from cutting lines or leaving edge marks in fresh material, and the polished, ground finish means it is ready to use straight out of the box.
What finishes it’s for
Built for polished mineral and lime finishes — Marmorino, Travertino, classic Venetian plaster (stucco veneziano) and microcement. The mirror-polished stainless blade compacts and burnishes the surface to a smooth satin or high-gloss marble sheen, and the stainless steel resists corrosion and never leaves black streaks on white or pale plasters.
Why the “Black Mamba”
The black-coated top and two-component, non-slip handle give a stable, comfortable grip through long burnishing passes, so you keep even pressure and consistent results across the whole wall.
How to use & care
Hold the blade at a low angle to spread thin, even coats; raise the angle and add pressure as the plaster sets to compact and polish. Wipe the blade clean with water before the material dries, dry it fully, and store it flat.
